Chicken Parm Sliders

Ingredients:

  • For the Chicken:
    • 1 lb chicken breasts (thinly sliced)
    • ½ cup all-purpose flour
    • 1 egg (beaten)
    • 1 cup bread crumbs
    • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
    • 1 tsp garlic powder
    • ½ tsp black pepper
    • ½ tsp salt
    • 1 cup marinara sauce
    • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 1 loaf of French bread (sliced into small sandwich-sized portions)
  • For the Sliders:
    • 12 sweet Hawaiian rolls
    • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
    • 1 clove garlic (minced)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with the beaten egg, and one with bread crumbs mixed with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
    • Dredge each thin chicken breast slice in flour, then dip it in the egg, and finally coat it with the seasoned bread crumbs.
  2. Cook the Chicken:
    • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little oil.
    • Cook the breaded chicken slices for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. Assemble the Sliders:
    • Slice the sweet Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls attached as a sheet.
    • Place the bottom half of the rolls in a baking dish.
    • Place a small piece of cooked chicken on each roll.
    • Spoon a tablespoon of marinara sauce over each piece of chicken.
    • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  4. Top the Sliders:
    • Place the top half of the rolls over the chicken and cheese.
    • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic.
    • Brush the garlic butter over the tops of the rolls.
  5. Bake:
    • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes.
    • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  6. Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and let the sliders cool for a few minutes before cutting them apart. Serve hot and enjoy your Chicken Parm Sliders!

Guacamole

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • ¼ cup red onion (finely chopped)
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 1 jalapeño (seeded and finely chopped)
  • 1 tomato (diced)
  • 2 tbsp lime juice (about 1 lime)
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Avocados:
    • Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
    • Mash the avocados with a fork until you reach your desired consistency (chunky or smooth).
  2. Add the Vegetables and Herbs:
    • Stir in the finely chopped red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño.
    • Add the diced tomato and gently fold it into the mixture.
  3. Season the Guacamole:
    • Add the lime juice, ground cumin, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt to the bowl.
    • Mix everything together until well combined.
  4. Taste and Adjust:
    • Taste the guacamole and adjust the seasonings if needed, adding more lime juice or salt to your preference.
  5. Serve:
    • Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl and enjoy immediately with tortilla chips, or as a topping for tacos, burritos, or any dish you like.

Creamy Garlic Shrimp Pasta Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined, seasoned with Slap Ya Mama
  • 2 sticks (1 cup) butter, divided
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Slap Ya Mama seasoning (additional, to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt (or to taste)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Pasta:
    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Shrimp:
    • Season the shrimp with Slap Ya Mama seasoning.
    • In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
    • Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce:
    • In a separate pot, melt the remaining butter (about 14 tablespoons) over medium heat.
    • Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
    • Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
    • Gradually whisk in the heavy whipping cream and milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
    • Continue to cook until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
    • Add the grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper, sea salt, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the sauce. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  4. Combine and Serve:
    • Add the cooked shrimp to the sauce in the pot, stirring to coat them evenly.
    • Add the cooked linguine to the pot with the sauce and shrimp, tossing everything together until the pasta is well-coated with the creamy garlic sauce.
    • Adjust seasoning with additional Slap Ya Mama and salt if needed.
  5. Garnish and Enjoy:
    • Serve the creamy garlic shrimp pasta hot, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if desired.

Turkey Stuffed Bell Peppers

Ingredients:

  • 4 large bell peppers, tops cut off and seeds removed
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 tsp Slap Ya Mama seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • 1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup cooked quinoa or brown rice minute rice
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 ½ cups Mexican cheese blend, shredded

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the bell peppers: Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully place the bell peppers in the boiling water and cook for 10 minutes until they are slightly tender. Drain the peppers and set them aside in a baking dish, cut side up.
  3. Cook the ground turkey: In a large skillet, cook the ground turkey over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Season the turkey: Add the taco seasoning, Slap Ya Mama seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper, and sea salt to the cooked turkey. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Mix in the beans, rice, and marinara: Stir in the black beans, cooked quinoa or brown rice, and marinara sauce. Mix well until evenly distributed and heated through.
  6. Stuff the peppers: Spoon the turkey mixture into each bell pepper, filling them almost to the top.
  7. Bake: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  8. Add the cheese: Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded Mexican cheese evenly over each pepper, and return to the oven. Bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve: Remove from the oven and let the peppers cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your stuffed bell peppers!
